Geoff is the founder and Managing Director of Blue Top Consulting.
Geoff has more than 30 years of technology and related experience of which more than 21 years were in the area of Forensic Technology at large consulting firms. He has extensive digital-based investigation, electronic discovery, data analytics, risk management, third-party due diligence, software design and development, and IT project management experience. Furthermore, he has provided expert witness and litigation support on a number of matters on behalf of major law firms.
He has international and regional experience in delivering reactive investigations, third-party due diligence reviews, proactive forensic risk management and other technology-focused consulting engagements over the past 20+ years. These covered fraud investigations, digital evidence recovery, electronic discovery, data analysis, intellectual property compliance reviews, due diligence reviews, litigation support & testimony and IT consulting engagements.
He has contributed to and managed various forensic investigations across a wide range of industries and areas of business at major financial institutions, government departments, mining houses, airlines, sports governing bodies and large retailers.
At a Big Four firm Geoff held an executive leadership position at the firm’s investment company responsible for the development and innovation of its third-party due diligence platform. The platform served the firm’s global network and provided third-party due diligence insights for most jurisdictions.

Geoff served on the Global Forensic Technology Steering Committee of a Big Four firm for over a year, and was also the joint lead for Forensic Technology in the EMEA region of a Big Four firm. He has led a national Forensic data analytics team for a number of years and been responsible for a team delivering technology-related services in the Cape Town market. He led the Technology Consulting segment of FTI in Southern Africa, and previously served on the FTI Technology EMEIA regional leadership group.
